JumpStart CDROM series - is such a treasure. They have CD's for every grade right from preschool - they are just too thoughtfully made and kids adapt to them wonderfully.

I'm creating this blog as a resource for kiddies stuff - mainly pictures, worksheets and a lot of useful links. It may be obviously but not necessarily progressing for the age group that Ashna is in.

How did this begin: When Ashna went to "Saplings" the primary school - they had a very nice project based way of teaching. They chose one topic every month and did everthing on that - for e.g. Wild Animals, Fishes, Insects. For the whole month all their activities revolved around one topic. It was amazing how these children picked up stuff. Now that she's in a conventional school with 1 teacher to 60 students - obviously this gets missed out. I cribbed about it and tried to do my bit. But I had a lot of other issues with her that needed to be focussed on. Now that all those are solved - it's my attempt to simulate the same 1 topic for a month theory of Saplings at home with her.

The net is an obvious resource centre. But I loose my links as always - so decided to persist what I do and develop this resource page. Also hoping that some people may find it useful eventually.
